1. I saw this cute idea to use lemon slices in vases with flowers (top left). You put a smaller vase inside the bigger one to hold the flowers. I have a very large lemon tree in my backyard and I am never short on lemons, so this was easy and cheap! I also found yellow and aqua glass juice tumblers in the $1 aisle at Target, I slipped some votives into them and put on the tables. I also found the very nice tablecloths at Walmart for $3! They were by Better Homes and Gardens.
2. I made 2 Diaper Cakes! One for baby boy to be, and one for baby girl to be. I LOVE making diaper cakes and after years of perfecting them I can whip them out fast. I will be posting a tutorial soon :)
3. For the engaged couple I made the personalized wine bags from my tutorial a couple weeks ago, click here to go to that post.
4. I found these great free printables (bottom right) at Gartner Studios. You can buy their premade labels and such at Michaels and then go to their website and customize them. I just actually printed these out on White cardstock paper. The yellow circle design was free and then I edited in the text using my computer picture software. I also just printed out blank ones, so people could write what they brought to share (See Below).
I am finding a happy medium to entertaining and providing unique touches. You don't always have to go over the top. Little touches such as color coordinating tablecloths and dinnerware, flowers, and a few unique printables or decorations will make your party pop at a low cost! How about you? Have any great summer party planned? I would love to hear about them, leave a comment below. Oh, and don't forget to "like" us on facebook, or become a follower if you dig my stuff!
